The organization behind this initiative is the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada who have their central offices in Mississauga, Ontario. The William Cornelius Vocational Training Centre is just one of the many humanitarian outreach projects that are sponsored by the P.A.O.C.'s NGO: (non profit/none governmental organization) known as E.R.D.O. (Emergency and Relief Development Overseas). E.R.D.O. has been working to establish schools, orphanages and other types of child support centres in many of our world's developing countries, with such projects as Child Care Plus and the Canadian Food Grains Bank. The W.C.V.T.C. is a natural extension of the Child Care Plus outreach in Guatemala. For over fifteen years now, the C.C.P. effort has linked arms with the Assemblies of God, Latin America Child Care system, in order to help 15 Guatemalan grade schools through monthly sponsorships from the U.S.A. and Canada.
We had a wonderful opening in 2007 which was a great celebration & since that time we have had the thrill & privilege of welcoming new students each year to give them the training for their High School Education & Career options within a Christian environment. We have a full compliment of teachers who are well qualified in their fields. The two specializations that we are currently offering are; Computer Science and Dental Hygiene. Both are three year courses. Our plan is to add more career specializations as these become approved by the Guatemalan Ministry of Education. The career course we are planning to offer are:
![]() We do realize that only as the nation's needs become apparent in the years to come, will we be able to clearly decide any new areas that we will add to this urgent list of skills waiting to be filled.
